Why do I love Paediatric Dentistry?
I derive immense satisfaction from working with children, including those with special needs. My dedication to both Community Dentistry and Paediatric Dentistry allows me to address disparities in dental care access and bring essential services closer to patients' residences. For instance, utilizing mobile clinics and the Paediatric Oral Health and Paediatric Virology Clinic enables me to serve vulnerable populations effectively. My experience in both the Wits Department of Restorative Endodontics and Paediatric Dentistry, as well as Community Dentistry, has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to make a meaningful impact in these areas. Teaching both undergraduate and post graduate students has also helped with imparting knowledge to the future cadre of oral health professionals who will be competent in treating children and those with special needs.
